Product Description
Danosa M.A.D.2 (Membrana AcΓΊstica Danosa) is a 2 mm high-density bitumen-modified acoustic membrane engineered specifically to control and damp low-frequency noise. Distributed by Aural Exchange, M.A.D.2 functions as an anti-resonant mass layer and is a proven alternative to traditional lead sheets in professional sound insulation systems.
When installed between porous absorbers or rigid elements, M.A.D.2 behaves as a panel absorber, significantly improving insulation performance in the critical low-frequency range where conventional materials are least effective.
Key Features & Benefits
- High-density 2 mm bituminous acoustic membrane
- Designed specifically for low-frequency resonance control
- Acts as an anti-resonant mass layer in lightweight constructions
- Efficient substitute for traditional lead sheets
- Improves insulation at critical frequencies around 125 Hz
- Shifts resonance frequencies of rigid elements for higher overall acoustic performance
- Allows reduced cavity depths while maintaining performance
- Can be stapled or bonded; compatible with self-adhesive variants
Acoustic Performance (Laboratory Tested)
- Airborne noise improvement on laminated gypsum board partition: ΞR = 2 dBA (EN 140-16)
- Insulation improvement at 125 Hz (between elastic / spring elements): 6.5 dB
- Insulation improvement at 125 Hz (between rigid elements): 4 dB
Tested in approved laboratories in accordance with EN acoustic standards.
