Product Description
Danosa M.A.D.4 (Membrana AcΓΊstica Danosa) is a 4 mm high-density bitumen-modified acoustic membrane engineered for maximum low-frequency noise control in demanding architectural and industrial soundproofing applications. Supplied by Aural Exchange, M.A.D.4 delivers substantially higher acoustic mass and damping performance than thinner membranes, making it ideal where low-frequency resonance is the dominant problem.
Designed to function as an anti-resonant mass layer, M.A.D.4 is a proven substitute for traditional lead sheets. When installed between rigid or elastic layers, it behaves as a panel absorber, delivering strong attenuation in the most difficult frequency bands.
Key Features & Advantages
- High-density 4 mm bituminous acoustic membrane
- Nominal surface mass of 7 kg/mΒ²
- Engineered for low-frequency resonance control
- Significantly higher performance than 2 mm membranes
- Effective replacement for lead-based acoustic barriers
- Improves insulation performance in lightweight constructions
- Reduces structural resonance and vibration transmission
- Compatible with mechanical fixing or adhesive installation
Measured Acoustic Performance (Laboratory Tested)
- Airborne noise improvement on laminated gypsum board partitions: ΞR = 5 dBA (EN 140-16)
- Low-frequency insulation improvement at 125 Hz (between elastic / spring elements): 9.5 dB
- Low-frequency insulation improvement at 125 Hz (between rigid elements): 8 dB
Results obtained from approved laboratory testing. Actual system performance depends on full construction design.
