Methods for influencing the aerodynamic and mechanical aspects of the noise include, modifying the operating conditions, redesigning components and mechanical systems using convectional noise cancellation technologies and acoustic masking. With Nankarrow IsoDuct™ installed correctly it cancels the noise at the point where it causes concerns, so there is no need to make changes to the components or mechanical systems.
IsoDuct™ combines excellent acoustic performance and insulation characteristics. Designed as an open cell flexible elastomeric Foam for sound absorption. Its viscoelastic properties, open cell structure and good air flow resistance make it excellent for acoustic insulation in buildings, HVAC/R, pipes and industrial applications. Nankarrow IsoDuct™ Acoustic foamed rubber is engineered and designed specifically for sound absorption and vibration dampening. The complex open cell structure is an excellent barrier of sound frequency (transmission) and effectively controls noises at a broad range of frequencies. The high density foam structure and asymmetrical pore structure means that it absorbs 50% more when compared regular nitrile open cell foams.
