Product Description
The VicVibro WS is an anti-vibration and homogeneous elastomeric support system for gypsum board partitions. The semi-cylindrical modulation at their base (for WS 75 and WS 100) and the transversal holes (for WS 50), provides the necessary space for the rubber expansion to increase the deflection and consequently the vibration insulation. The inclined flaps of Vibro WS cover the fixing bolts on the base and prevent possible contact with gypsum board.
The application of VicVibro WS in floating gypsum board partitions:
- Decreases the flanking noise transmissions.
- Interrupt the heat-bridges and the increase of moisture between humid floors and walls.
Istallation:
The VicVibro WS is installed on floor or ceiling metal profiles (U-runner with width 50, 75 or 100 mm) in correspondence to the wall studs, or it could also be installed unified. They can be fixed on the profiles with bolts and on floor or ceiling with expansion bolts. The free spaces must be filled with sound absorption material to seal cavities.
Part or all of base’s lateral flaps, of VicVibro WS, can be cut easily due to its incisions, for applications with smaller thickness (e.g. single gypsum board) than the flap’s length.
Important: Metal washer must be also used in every fixed point.
Application: It can be used in various places like Recording studios, Home theaters, Rehearsal rooms, Auditoriums, Cinema halls, Dubbing rooms, Jam rooms, Voice Over (VO) Rooms, etc.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
You should install the anti vibration supports spaced at approximately 60cm from each other like the image below shows. In the other direction, the distance between the floor supports should be limited to 100cm.
1. Wooden battens
2. Vicoustic´s VicVibro WS
3. Initial floor.
OPTIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN ANTI VIBRATION SUPPORTS
You can also install the anti vibration supports with the optimum distance between each other, to guarantee optimum vibration isolation and at the same time security.
To increase the acoustical isolation (with 2 to 3 dB extra), an acoustic membrane (Vicoustic´s ISO Blanket) should be applied between 2 MDF layers above the wooden battens.
INSTALLATION DETAIL ON WALL PERIPHERY
The wooden battens must always be completely decoupled from the structural floor. We recommend doing the following floor-wall intersection shown on the image below. Please ensure the correct installation procedure with screws, to guarantee safety and the correct decoupling connections.
In the periphery of the walls, you should apply Vicoustic´s VicVibro WS with one of the ends cut off. You should use a sharp knife or scalpel to cut the rubber, and apply this end right next to the wall (like the image below).
1. Footer
2. Rubber Strip
3. Vicoustic´s VicVibro WS
4. Wooden Parquet
5. Vicoustic´s ISO Underfloor
6. MDF layer 25mm
7. Air Space
8. Vicoustic´s Vicycle30 (3cm)
In the periphery of the walls, you should apply Vicoustic´s VicVibro WS with one of the ends cut off.
Each rubber support must be screwed to the structural floor using 2 screws. In the periphery of walls you should apply 1 screw in the centre of the rubber support and another on the end (opposite end to the wall). The wooden battens MUST be screwed to the rubber support with screws and metal washers. The screws must be applied on the side “flaps” avoiding the rigid contact between the rigid floor of the building and the acoustic insulation.
Important: You must use absorption material in all the air gaps, such as extruded polystyrene, or rock wool.
RESPONSIBILITY AND STANDARDS:
Vicoustic takes full responsibility in the reliability of the acoustic support. We do not take responsibility for the results, because they depend on the people who make the installation.
Vicoustic does not guarantee the reliability of the rubber supports when used for loads above 80 Kg.
All Vicoustic´s wall mounts follow the standard ISO 9001:2008. It specifies the requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to custom.
