Acoustical Product Designer

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Acoustical Engineer, who will join the company’s efforts to increase efficiency and throughput. In this position you will play a key role in creating, testing and updating a variety of product development projects. You will be a key member of our cross functional team, working closely with your colleagues and our suppliers, to successfully develop and deliver our products to the consumer marketplace. The qualified applicant must be detail oriented and possess a positive and professional can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with factories to design, build, and test acoustic treatment products
• Investigate and develop acoustic treatment design concepts to achieve product performance requirements
• Use simulation tools to predict acoustic behavior
• Define, build, and characterize physical prototypes of acoustic treatment products
• Define, specify, and validate production test equipment and processes
• Support prototype and production system builds both on-location and remotely
• Collaborate with supply partners to develop and validate manufacturing assembly procedures to meet product performance requirements
• Troubleshoot acoustic failures and recommend design changes to prevent future occurrences
• Travel (domestic and international) possibility, approximately 1-2 weeks per year
