Product Description
The Nankarrow BlackOut™ is a great looking high-performance ceiling tile made from high-density mineral fiber for added absorption in the critical voice range. This helps improve intelligibility by attenuating flutter echo and reducing first order reflections. By installing BlackOut™ acoustical ceiling tiles or panels below a hard ceiling surface, you can stop noise at its source and restore your home, office or any other place to quiet comfort with balanced sound.
Nankarrow BlackOut™ features an industry leading 15-25mm thick high-density mineral fiber construction for maximum sound absorption. The front surface is finished in Absolute Black for zero reflectivity. Designed to retrofit into existing T-Bar systems, the BlackOut™ is available in square 24″ x 24″ (595mm x 595mm) panel sizes and in choice of the space saving ‘lay-in’ edge treatment for flush-mounting to the T-Grid.
Cutting out panels for light fixtures, ventilation and ceiling speakers follows the same cut and position process used with regular ceiling tiles. But unlike low-cost mineral wool tiles, BlackOut™ will not sag due to moisture. This makes it particularly well suited for use in regions with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels. The BlackOut™ has been fully tested to meet stringent fire and smoke development requirements for Class-B designation and safe use anywhere.
Once in place, the BlackOut™ works with the air space above the panel (called the ‘plenum’) to absorb all frequencies down to 125Hz, delivering a truly linear performance throughout the voice range. An amazing NRC value coupled with Nankarrows’s good looks means that no other acoustical ceiling panels come close to the price, performance, value, and esthetic combination that BlackOut™ delivers.
This makes the BlackOut™ ideal and excellent solution for particularly demanding acoustic requirements of cinemas, home theaters, recording studios, call centers, boardrooms, offices, restaurants, and classrooms, where excessive reverberation and echo inside the room can make conversations difficult.
Some major performance venues have variable acoustics – a costly treatment system that allows the venue acoustics to be adjusted on demand to generate the best sound, whatever the type of performance. In reality, most people will probably use the same room to record a range of instruments or voices.
Although the room may have acoustic treatment, the treatment will largely focus on generally absorbing or diffusing specific frequencies, and it will be fixed. However, a room that has been treated to produce a dryish acoustic for vocal recording will not bring out the best in an acoustic guitar, which needs more ambience.
The BlackOut™ Acoustical Ceiling Tile System is the envy of other specialty acoustic ceilings, and we’re not just making noise. An amazing NRC value of 85% coupled with BlackOut™ good looks means that no other acoustical ceiling panels come close to the price of BlackOut™, performance, value, and aesthetic combination that BlackOut™delivers.
By installing BlackOut™ acoustical ceiling tiles or panels below a hard ceiling surface, you can stop noise at its source and restore your restaurant, home or any other space to quiet comfort.
It can be used in various places like Commercial Cinemas, Home Theatres, Auditoriums, Nightclubs, and Recording Studios.
