These sheets are created from natural polyester fibers. These are known for their durability and reliable performance. Nankarrow GeoFill™ is used for manufacturing acoustic panels, as backing material for drop ceilings, walls, and floors in premium recording studios, offices, and in the loudspeaker building industry.
GeoFill™ is made from natural polyester fiber thermally bonded to provide the rigidity and porosity required for broadband acoustic absorption. No chemicals are used during manufacture. These high performance acoustic polyester insulation batts help with reducing unwanted noise transfer through walls & ceilings to create quieter living spaces, for higher noise level situations, particularly suitable for media rooms or between floors. Nankarrow GeoFill is itch free, contain no Formaldehdye Binders, require no protective clothing to install, making them a safe insulation option for you & your family. Polyester Acoustic Insulation Batts also have a Zero Ozone Depleting (ODP) rating, contain negligible Volatile Organic Compunds (VOC’s) and 80% of the fibers that go into these polyester batts are recycled from plastic bags & other packaging materials, so they are safer for the planet too. GeoFill also meets the ASTM E84 standard for fire safety.

Nankarrow GeoFill™ Density for Acoustic Applications:
GeoFill is superior to both rockwool & glasswool, because its fibers are not bound together with any chemical binder so they do not clump together. This allows extremely low flow resistivity values which helps you achieve the most linear absorption curve. This in turn helps create a natural sounding acoustic environment. Based on air flow resistivity values, we recommend the following thickness of GeoFill for your acoustic panels
- For 2″ to 4″ thickness use GeoFill 40 kg/m3 slabs (Air Flow resistivity 12800 Pa. s/m²)
- for 6″ to 8″ thickness use GeoFill 20 kg/m3 slabs (Air flow resistivity 9600 Pa. s/m²)
- for 10″ and more thickness use GeoFill 10kg/m3 (Air flow resistivity 6200 Pa. s/m²)

purchased these to make 4inch acoustic panels for my listening room. The 2000gsm boards arrived in perfect shape and were actually very clean and easy to work with. This is the safest product available in India for acoustic insulation and recommended by my acoustic consultant from UK. I covered my panels with natural jute fabric (not bought from here) and they perform very well. If you place these strategically to eliminate early reflection points, you will be surprised at the results you can attain. Everything just sounds so much cleaner and the ringing and flutter has been greatly if not completely reduced. Topped with the black fabric, the panels look amazing and blend in to my room very well.

So far I have primary reflections almost completely under control and now I’m creating bass traps for the corners. I purchased Geofill to make acoustic panels for my listening room. Placed 4 panels at the first reflection point to the sides of the listening position, they work beautifully to widen the soundstage and lessen unwanted mid / high reflection bounce off the side walls. I also placed 2 panels, 2 inches thick, behind the speakers on the front wall.
For front corner bass traps I am using same materials but these are 6 inches deep (used 3 panels per trap) and the bass performance in my room has improved nicely. This evens out the peaks and nulls in the room, especially since I dont like using EQ. Covered in fabric over wooden frames, they are light weight and blend in with room design nicely. Great product.
