Nankarrow ProTrap™ features a wooden front and is an excellent upgrade to the NeoTrap. Appropriate for corner mounting, it provides effective low-frequency absorption between 100-500Hz when used in an array. The 3mm micro-perforated wooden front panel provides sufficient mid-high frequency absorption to control corner reflections without deadening the sound, which is a big problem in small recording studios and critical listening rooms.
The ProTrap™ is highly recommended for smaller rooms with low-frequency issues. Besides its gorgeous aesthetic, it’s extremely practical, with a modular structure allowing further units to be added as intended.

How many Protraps do I need for my room? (IMPORTANT)
You can never have too much bass absorption. Low frequencies accumulate in the room and when they linger, they cause a lot of problems. Your goal should be to cover all available dihedral corners in the room with ProTraps. These include ceiling-wall corners (horizontal) as well as wall-wall corners (vertical). For a typical bedroom (13ft x 11ft x 9ft) we recommend using 16 ProTraps. Keep a 1″ to 2″ distance between ProTraps to ensure that low frequencies can enter from the sides as well.

I’m using 12 of these in a small room with Preonus Eris Studio 5 monitors and find that they really help give me a tight low-end even when working at loud levels. I already had wall panels but covering up the corners has made a valuable improvement to the room acoustics.

The panels came with a spray glue that wasn’t messy at all. Had them up in under 20 minutes.
